EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an evidence-based approach designed to help individuals heal from the emotional distress caused by traumatic or upsetting life experiences. Using guided bilateral stimulation—such as eye movements, tapping, or sounds—EMDR helps the brain process memories that may feel “stuck,” allowing clients to move toward resolution with less emotional intensity. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR focuses on how the mind stores traumatic memories and works to reprocess them so they can be integrated in a healthier way. The result is often a reduction in symptoms like anxiety, intrusive thoughts, and emotional overwhelm, leading to a greater sense of clarity, resilience, and wellbeing.
